Evidence Records · Research and development direction

Shared evidence should remain verifiable.

We are exploring how selected attributes of a CRI Evidence Pack could be verified after it is shared with a bank, adviser or another institution. The aim is to preserve a checkable link to its origin, version and review context.

Evidence Governance explains the proposed preparation and review of an Evidence Pack. Evidence Records is our research direction for verifiable sharing.

Proposed structure

Readable Evidence Pack

  • Review question
  • Sources and findings
  • Limits and professional response

Selected details linked to the source version

Linked verification record

  • Issuer
  • Pack reference
  • Version
  • Scope
  • Record status

What should the recipient be able to check?

  1. Who issued this record?
  2. Which Evidence Pack and version does it refer to?
  3. Has that version been replaced or withdrawn?
  4. What was reviewed, by whom and within which scope?

A readable document with a verifiable record

The proposed approach combines a readable Evidence Pack with a linked digital record containing selected verification details. A recipient could check those details without receiving the full underlying dataset. The disclosure scope and verification process would be agreed for the use case.

What we want to investigate

Link to the source record

Which fields can be shared, and how can they remain linked to the correct Evidence Pack version?

Record lifecycle

How should a recipient distinguish an issued, replaced or withdrawn record?

Review context

How can the reviewer’s role, review scope and relevant point in time be represented and checked?

Our starting point is evidence sharing in construction finance, collateral review and related due diligence.

Help define the receiving side

We welcome discussions with banks, specialist reviewers and technology partners about which record attributes need verification and how the process should fit their work.
